Letter from Shawn Brown

The great soccer player Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele once said "The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning."
I could not agree more.  Collecting sports equipment and shipping it hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles away is no easy task.   Yet, giving in this way does bring rewards: personal satisfaction and the knowledge that we are filling a void in a child's life.
Samba 360 is  also about teamwork.  Our partnership with web viewers like you can level the playing field for all children.  From the favelas of Rio de Janeiro to Cite Soleil in Haiti, children are in desperate need of our help.  The extreme poverty in these communities, and in particular the lack of access to many things we take for granted (such as a pair of sneakers or a soccer ball), demands our immediate attention.
By working together to recycle our used sports equipment, Samba 360 can provide the resources to make a positive difference in a child's life.
I am an optimist. I know we can make that difference. Please help us by taking a moment to look in your basement, garage or closet for forgotten sports equipment that may no longer be used by your family, but would be cherished by a child elsewhere. Your generosity is key to our success.

Thank you.
